At the "Cappadocia Horse and Equestrian Culture Festival" horses decorated the land and balloons decorated the air

Within the scope of the event that started the previous day under the auspices of Nevşehir Governorship and hosted by Göreme Municipality, a horseback tour was carried out in the landscape where fairy chimneys were integrated with hot air balloons.

At sunrise, a large number of hot air balloons prepared by the staff rose into the sky with tourists getting into their baskets.

Riders coming to the region from different provinces also toured the Kılıçlar and Güllüdere valleys with their horses, which were colored with balloons.

Türker Tuncer, one of the riders participating in the festival, told AA that he enjoyed riding his horse among the natural beauties of Cappadocia, also known as the "land of beautiful horses", and said, "It is a beautiful event, I hope it is held every year. We will also participate in the horse beauty contest with our horses at the festival, which we will attend with 7 horses from our farm."

Kadir Özel emphasized that he wants to participate in the festival in the coming years and invited horse lovers to the region to follow these events, saying, "It is very enjoyable to walk among the balloons early in the morning. We also participated in safari events at sunrise and sunset. Horses suit Cappadocia very well. Its terrain is very suitable for this sport."

Semra Şahin İlhan, one of the festival directors, also stated that the region was hosting an event that would attract the attention of tourists, and said, "This is the land of beautiful horses, as it is known. A beautiful tour is carried out with balloons. Mounted archery, javelin, acrobatics, horseball events are organized. There was a lot of demand for a festival related to horsemanship in Cappadocia. We aimed to make it a tradition."

The festival, which includes events such as seminars, children's workshops, concerts and equestrian martial arts shows, will end tomorrow after the horse beauty contest and award ceremony.
